For six years, Spamandla has been on a journey of learning and unlearning in the pattern and textile industry, a path that has brought her ineffable joy and inspiration. Her work under the brand name DZIRIBA showcases her growth and passion for cultural expression through design.
Spamandla's artwork is characterized by repeating lines and circles reminiscent of Xhosa attire and ancestral facial art (dot work), reflecting unity. Her designs bridge urban life with the traditions of her tribe, creating a bond where she finds belonging while honoring the legacy of her people.
