Niloofar

Niloofar is originally from Iran! Her name comes from the Persian word meaning 'lotus'. 🌸 She lived in Rome for a few years, studying for her Master's degree in Astrophysics 🔭 - she loved astronomy since she was a child. We hope she can shoot for the stars with SheCodes! 🌟

Her other passions include jogging, traveling, connecting with nature, meditation and dancing. 💃 Oh and also cats - a passion that we share!

Now, Niloofar lives in Germany! She first moved there to work as a researcher, where her job was focused on data analysis using Python.

"During my work as a researcher, I was expected to do advanced analysis and code independently using Python without much help and guidance, which was very overwhelming for me. It brought me to a point where I hated coding...I started to search to find a way to make my situation better."

Niloofar's search brought her to SheCodes! 🤗

Niloofar had doubts at the beginning about whether coding was right for her, having had such a negative experience in her professional life so far.

"I started to learn more about SheCodes and then decided to sign up for all 4 workshops. The courses were taught very well by Matt. He explained everything perfectly and I also loved the homework which we had at the end of each lesson."

Niloofar grew to love coding so much that she left her job as a researcher and began looking for a role as a front-end developer! 🤩 She went to an IT job fair and began applying, even before she'd finished studying with SheCodes.

"I really didn't expect it to happen this fast but I received three IT job offers from that job fair and they were all interested in the experiences that I gained from SheCodes workshops."

"My advice to anyone who wants to learn to code is to be patient with yourself. This is a skill that everyone can learn...it is only a matter of time and practice. You only need to be patient and have a good study plan to follow, like SheCodes workshops!"
