I've learnt so much from SheCodes Plus; I was a complete beginner before I did the SheCodes Workshop and I'm very proud of what I can now do. The Plus course has been challenging and was more intensive than the Workshop but it is broken up into manageable sections and you can do the lessons whenever you want so you can fit it around your routine. I'm looking forward to learning more in the React course!
This has been my very first contact with coding and I have really enjoyed it.
A great opportunity for self-starters to learn how to code and have a taste of what is required in Front End Dev career. Matt explains every step very thoroughly, additionally giving you a lot of time in between to practice on our own. With SheCodes coding is fun and exciting!

SheCodes workshop was a great introduction to the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Thanks to Matt and his great team I learnt not only how to code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, but also how to combine all that knowledge and mix it while creating a Weather App in React. Lots of important and helpful hints that I am going to remember forever. Just one word: amazing!
From beautician to front-end developer!!! A year ago I couldn't imagine changing my career, but the pandemic pushed me to evaluate my current position. It was the best decision I've ever made. SheCodes course was exactly something I was looking for to accelerate into a different industry. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the course, but the lessons were very well structured and easy to follow. React is a huge challenge but once you get the results it's so worth it! This course allows you to discover a new whole world but I wouldn't consider it enough to work as a Front End Developer. SheCodes Plus workshops changed my approach to career - I know that hard work can take me very very far. Although I still have a long way to go, I already know that participation in the SheCodes workshop was the best decision in my life. At first, I didn't think I'd find a new passion, I bought the course out of curiosity. I wanted to learn something new, completely different from what I do on a daily basis. After a few weeks of learning, I created a working weather app - I am very proud of myself! You can learn a lot during the SheCodes workshops, but the most important thing is to have the curiosity to explore topics, because programming is a huge area. There is an infinite number of solutions to a given problem - often when you go through one door you see at least ten more :) And that's great about coding - the variety of interpretations, solutions and approaches.
I highly recommend SheCodes.The classes are well-structured and you get a lot of new knowledge with each class without feeling overwhelmed.
I came across SheCodes on instagram and decided to give it a try since I am studying IT Management in college and wanting to upgrade my coding skills, Over the 3 weeks I have really enjoyed what I have learned and the workshops are really detailed and go through everything piece by piece. It was really challenging at times but definitely worth the time and I am glad I decided to do it! Definitely a good experience for beginner Coders!
I had a lot of fun during this 3 weeks course! I have learned a lot and will be still learning more! It was very challenging and I can recommend it to anyone who would like to learn how to code. The best online course ever! The beginner workshop is perfect for anyone with little knowledge of how to code and I'm glad I gave it a try. Matt is the best teacher in the World, the Slack chat support is super useful and efficient and the community is wonderful. It was fun!
This Workshop was excellent for me as a beginner! It was pretty fun to code with the lessons. The final project is really relevant and inspired me to continue my journey to become a coder. I highly recommend it.
The course is well-structured and is just right for beginners, the lectures and coursework are all manageable as long as you follow the instructions step by step. I feel accomplished being able to create a simple webpage through coding in just 3 weeks.

Having had an interest in coding, I participated in SheCodes Express a few months ago and was inspired by Matt's way of breaking down previously foreign concepts into simple terms that I just had to try the Online workshop. With no previous knowledge of coding at all, the workshop was an intense and fulfilling learning curve for sure. I stumbled across SheCodes when I scrolled through Instagram - it straight away captured my attention and suddenly I was on Matt's intro class, registering for the real workshop and starting to code for the first time in my life. I have to say Matt's way of busting the myth of "nerdy, impossible-to-learn-at-this-age" coding is super effective. I am still a galaxy away from a professional programmer but learning how to code (and read them) made me understand workflows, app design / implementation process, its behaviour, and digital space in general. This helps me a lot in my career where I build use cases for people and their business when they evaluate a CRM (I work at Salesforce), as well as for my personal learning. Keep up the good work Matt, Daniela, and team! 💯
I took the beginner course and I am going to take an advanced course coding is not hard as it seems it just takes practice but this is a great workshop with Matt he's a great teacher

I have to admit that React was pretty hard work to understand and get used to, nonetheless it was very interesting to learn about it. This course is a good foundation to understand how front-end with react works, it needs quite a bit of practice but just as everything, if you enjoy coding, practice makes perfect.
Your lesson structure was fantastic! I had such a great learning experience. I recommend everyone learn to code via SheCodes!!
Shecodes has really helped my skills in coding. Did not know how to code at all but now I know how to do it. I can now complete my computer science degree thanks to SheCodes. I highly recommend women to taking this course because the industry is male dominated. I learned so much in 3 weeks I feel like a pro coder. This is one of the greatest experience I have had in my life time!

I am currently working in the Sales Department at a Tech company and I signed up for SheCodes as a way to up-skill and broaden my technical knowledge. I started as a beginner since all the knowledge that I had was based on my MySpace HTML time, from about 15 years ago 🙂 The workshop is easy to follow and the challenges and homework fun to solve. SheCodes comes with a great community of other women interested in coding that you can connect and interact with via Slack 👩🏼💻👩🏽💻👩🏿💻and support is always available too! The past 3 weeks have been so insightful and I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus!
Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.
It has been a long and intense journey to the end of this Workshop. It is challenging and frustrating at times, but once you understand how things work, there's no stopping you! I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning React.
Really clear, comprehensive explanations on each subject. Weather app is a good project to start your journey as it includes a lot of useful programming skills, and I leave this course with, what I feel, is a good understanding of them
I really liked it, sometimes it was hard to understand what was going on, so i learned more in the solution videos than the learn video.
I started knowing nothing about coding, after a few week I have learn so much. The support is incredible and the classes are very easy to understand. Highly recommend the workshops!
It was a hard workshop, but I was able to add lots of knowledge to my basics. Thanks to sheCodes support, which helped me through the rough times, I was able to build a nice app.
I loved working on this project since it gave us the needed tools to integrate real-time information using an API. After creating this project, I have learned a lot in JavaScript. Before I looked through the Vanilla JS videos, I had googled how to increment days in JavaScript which gave me more information as to how JavaScript's internal dates work. This has been a great challenge to complete!
A beginning in coding
I thought the 3-week coding class was an excellent introduction to coding and definitely recommend it! Although I found Java Script to be more difficult than HTML and CSS, it came together in the final product. I even used coding to fix a program that I use at work!
It was great being able to see the fun things you can create in such a short period of time. The lessons were fun, clear and at a good pace. The challenges after the lessons really helped with actually understanding the materials and figuring out how to apply all of the information. Highly recommend!

Selling SaaS products for the past 3 years made me curious about knowing all about how are these products actually being developed. I have never had any experience in coding and neither am I the best with computers, but these courses have brought me so much confidence that this too I can learn! Matt has a great way of explaining everything very well and Joao has been a great help when I was stuck. Instead of using this only in my work as a Sales Manager, I am hooked and will keep on learning and developing and hopefully find a job as a React Developer in the future.

Great workshop, gives a broad information on coding. A good start for beginners!
The class was well taught and well planned. I wish the refactoring lesson had an accompanying exercise, even though it is mentioned as more of a preview for future courses. Most HWs are a culmination of skills you have previously practiced in lessons and their accompanying challenge. Challenges, although not checked the way HW is checked, serve as wonderful stepping stones to the weekly HW and final project. Questions can be asked on Slack and answers are quickly received in less than a day. The class gives you tools for learning on your own in addition to using what you have been taught. This is an excellent course for those looking to dip their toes into the world of coding!

I think this a great class. The way the format it built it makes it easy to learn and navigate. I felt pretty strong in my knowledge ending the class.
This was a great course, I feel comfortable now reading and playing with the basics of html, css and java. As the head of a communications department I do alot of website updates and work closely with the IT team and this course will empower me to do more work independently on the websites!

Coding classes are nicely done!
I had a great experience with SheCodes. Working in the IT industry for a little over two years, I grew interested in learning about the fundamentals of web development; plus, I wanted to expand my skillsets and knowledge outside of my profession. SheCodes gave me a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavasScript that I know will benefit my career development and growth. The tutorials were helpful, and the homework did a great job at encompassing what we learned for each week. All in all, it was a wonderful journey!
Shecodes Plus is a difficult workshop, since it is available for beginners, I think it should include more support to improve the learning experience. All in all, very good tools to learn, but difficult for students starting in the coding world.

As someone who has learned basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the past, this workshop was a great refresher for me and gave me the creative freedom to really put what I'd learned (and re-learned) into practice. The lessons were constructed in an organized, straight-forwarded manner, and summarized concepts clearly and simply. The assignments and projects were set up in a way that really had to make me think about what I'd learned and figure out where and how to implement it correctly. Throughout the course, I didn't feel like I was spoon-fed at all, and was able to gain a greater understanding of concepts despite having learned them before. Now, I'm feeling a lot more comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and and ready to move on and learn even more!
