Absolutely loving my journey with SheCodes! It's been a great experience learning with Matt and I'm excited to keep continuing on with future workshops. The curriculums are broken down nicely and the material is very easy to understand. If you are a woman who wants a future in tech, SheCodes is the move to make!
I would definitely recommend joining the SheCodesPlus course as it teaches many interesting and important features for building a website. It's more challenging than the first one but still a lot of fun and rewarding! It would be awesome though if Matt could show us some helpful (keyboard) shortcuts that he uses.
This workshop has been incredible and I'm already planning on upgrading to the SheCodes Pro workshop as soon as I'm able. As someone who has never been good with computers and tech, I decided to give this a try on a whim and I'm so glad I did. I've learned so much from this course and feel more confident than ever. I honestly never thought I'd like coding, much less find it fun! Highly recommend!

When I completed SheCodes' other offerings, I promised I'd be first in line to sign up if a new course was ever launched. So, of course I jumped at the chance to be an early participant in the new Responsive Design program! Not only did Matt's instructions help me reinforce my previous knowledge of HTML and CSS, but with Matt and João's guidance I learned out to built an attractive multipage website that is optimized for multiple devices and screen sizes. I learned so much practical knowledge, and the final project was a blast! I can't wait to continue my responsive design practice and promising now yet again that if another SheCodes class becomes available, I will be first to sign up!

Everything is systematically and well explained in the videos. I really appreciated the support of the team and other people taking the course in Slack. This time, it required a bit more time, which unfortunately I couldn't dedicate enough of due to increased work load. Overall, great course!

The class was great, easy to follow, and the workload was just perfect for people who have a full-time job. I loved the short lesson videos. These make it easy to work on the class for short periods at a time. There is also support available to answer questions when you get stuck on something. I highly recommend it.

SheCodes Plus workshop is definitely much more challenging and demanding compared to the previous SheCodes Basic. Working step by step every week on your weather app, trying to understand more deep and complex Javascript you soon realize how amazing programming is 🤩 Thank you very much for this experience! I am very excited to move on and learn React 👩🏼💻 You are building a working weather app but at the same time is amazing that you finish your project with I had a wonderful experience with SheCodes. After completing the first workshop, I went onto SheCodes Plus and learned so much more! I would recommend these workshops to anyone interested in learning to code because they're well organized and broken down into digestible sections. Not to mention the support you can receive via Slack is super helpful. Excited to move on to the next workshop and begin learning React!

A fascinating and brilliantly put together course, I can't say enough good things about this sequence of courses. I am a fashion designer and I decided to change my career after getting introduced to Web Development via research and acquaintances. I find myself in an entry-level position in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript5. I have learned a lot of design patterns and principles that helped me to apply coding on my daily basis and it will be easier for me to get deeper into programming language after that. Even though I've been working with front and back-end developers for over 10 years, I've always had an extreme and irrational fear of learning to code. But with my deep love for UI and UX design and project management, I knew that I would be a better UX designer and manager if I knew how to code and after the last couple of weeks, I can totally see how my deeper understanding of code has had a positive effect on my work. I feel empowered and I'll be coming back for more @shecodes!

After working in retail for many years, my husband and I were in a car accident that left him permanently disabled. When life deals a bad hand, there aren't a lot of options but to push harder or give up. I decided to push harder and changed careers. I needed something that could provide for us and our young son. But I didn't have a degree. So, I began pursuing IT certifications. I passed the A+ and landed a job at a Helpdesk. I've been there for about 18 months and am now pursuing a degree in Cyber Security. However, the leap from Helpdesk to Security is impossible without experience, certifications, and degrees. I started working with sites to learn ethical hacking, but they required coding experience, which I did not have -- dead end. While studying for the Security+, I saw an ad for SheCodes on YouTube. It sounded too good to be true, so I did some digging. Sure enough, it was legit and had awesome ratings! Then, I nervously asked my husband, "Do you mind if I pay for an online coding class that may or may be a scam??" haha And he said yes! That leads me to now! I just finished the final project and feel SO much more confident. I have programming classes required for my major, which I start next week, and now I'm prepared to take them on. I have even gone so far as to reach out and start networking with jobs in app development, system operations, and internal security. If there is someone out there who isn't sure, I would say this: Grab life by the reins and MAKE IT HAPPEN! SheCodes is a perfect place to start! Matt is an excellent teacher, and the structure is well laid out and very easy to learn. Go out there and get it, girl, because you deserve this!
I took a few coding electives in University, and the SheCodes Basics course was a great way to jog my memory. The course format (lessons followed by challenges) made it easy to understand code in intuitive, bite-sized pieces. It was also awesome having to Slack community to turn to for help. Can't wait to get starting with the rest of the Plus curriculum!

SheCodes is a great start into the world of coding. Matt explains everything in a way that is very clear for beginners. I like the challenges and projects, in which the newly gained skills can be applied.
The beginning workshop was a great way to see if coding is something I would be interested in. It is a very basic overview of HTML, CSS and javascript.
Building a weather forecast app from scratch was a challenging yet a very interesting assignment. I see that I have still a lot to learn and I'm eager to continue with my next workshop. Really excited! Thank you for the lessons. :)
Is a great course, is very easy to understand, Matt explains in a simple way so is very easy to keep track of. The fact that there are challenges in every lesson definitely helped me.

I am extremely satisfied with this workshop! Coding can be very intimidating for absolute beginners but through Matt's great pedagogy and clarity (said from a teacher :p), short but efficient lessons, and regular practice, it is quite mind blowing what one can do within just three weeks of learning! All the new notions are broken down into single blocks of learning to grasp the essential meanings, demonstrated in videos with explanations and documentation too. We then get familiar with these new notions to finally apply them into various tasks. It is a very progressive and fun process. Thank you so much. I am very much looking forward to the next training!
This was such a great course for a newbie - Matt is a really good teacher and the videos were super informative and helpful. I loved the challenges at the end of each video to put into practice what we'd just been taught and found it easy to follow along. I was worried I'd feel overwhelmed but Matt was great at humanising and explaining code - can't wait to get stuck into SheCodes Plus!!

I wanted to learn how to code to start my own blog. 3 weeks ago I didn't know a thing about coding, but after taking SheCodes I have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to write basic code. Matt Delac is a great instructor. He has made learning how to code easy, fun, and practical. I feel very fortunate to have come across SheCodes and enroll in the courses.
I really enjoyed these 3 weeks of coding! I knew nothing about HTML, CSS or Java Script, and still I was able to build my first "web page". The classes were really easy to follow and I am excited to continue learning how to code - even though my job has nothing to do with it. What an exciting journey!

Great support if you want to get an idea of what coding is and how it works. I will definitely continue coding! At the moment I study Marketing Management, but definitely see myself working with data in the future. To me, a good (future)marketer should understand how websites work and how customer data is gathered.

This beginner course was amazing! I never thought I could learn so much in three weeks having tried other types of courses before (without success). It's really easy to follow all of the classes and the challenges along the way helps you put into practice everything you've learned. I fully recommend it.

This is the perfect course for beginner coders. Learning the basics takes time and patience and I felt really supported by Matt's tutorials, the Slack group and trusty ol' Google. I could fit it around my working schedule and it gave me a small sense of achievement each time I passed a lesson. It has gotten me excited to see what else I can learn in coding and what the possibilities are.

I started SheCodes to explore coding and see if I even liked it. After the workshop I can say that this is the perfect way to start coding- the lessons are thorough and the challenges and projects are fun. I would recommend this course to all of my friends in the future!
Some tricky and challenging coding, but Matt does a good job of explaining and walking through examples. Really enjoyed adding real live data into the app - feels a bit like a Frankenstein moment - and great to learn the workflow, not just the granular detail of the coding.
...let the force be with you... Definitely go for it! Little bit challenging, but sometimes it´ s good to include some challenges into life, isn´ t it? I had fun with final project and hope, that I will continue with coding.

Another brilliant workshop that enabled me to dive deeper into the world of coding. It hasn't always been a walk in the park, there have been moments of frustration, but also some exciting eureka episodes, all in all making this experience enriching and worthwhile. Being able to build a fully working page on my own was very gratifying (and challenging, at times). I felt like a real coder 👩💻 :)
Matt provides incredibly easy-to-follow videos. He breaks down the steps and structures needed for coding. The submissions and final project allow for practical application and gives you the chance to explore on your own to find the solution.

As a single mother of 2 small children, I cannot rave enough about this workshop. For quite some time I had been wanting to do something different as a career that could really allow me to provide for my daughters. I've always been interested in STEM and with my background as a Science and Math teacher...I was so excited when the most beautiful Godsend appeared on my YouTube recommendation about SheCodes. At first I thought "What is this?" then I clicked and it was amazing to think that in a short clip I found myself wanting to join. I worried that as a single mom juggling kids, homeschool, and play time that there would be NO WAY I could do this and not fall behind but after back and forth emails with Matt I was reassured that I COULD DO IT and that was the moment I took the plunge. I attended the free workshop and as an artsy attention to detail kind of person, watching Matt really allowed me to see myself doing this and becoming passionate about it. I set out on a mission to start and finish and made sure to do so throughout the course of these 3 weeks and I can honestly say that I am so proud of all the knowledge I've gained, so proud of myself and being able to say that I didn't allow anything to stop me from working hard, completing challenges and submitting homework on time. I DID IT! All of the thanks goes out to Matt Delac and his team João, Daniela and the wonderful people on Slack who took time to help me when I got stuck. I am really happy that I signed up for SheCodes back in January! I would totally recommend this course to anyone, who is curious about coding, but doesn't know where to start/ thinks that coding might not be for them. The videos are well constructed and you will find in them the answer to all the questions, even if you might have to watch them more than once (my case). Don't heasitate, just do it. It will suck and you will question your "why" many times, but eventually it gets better... at least that's what they say😂😋
Absolutely enjoyed it!!! So easy to follow with zero experience. I've already recommended this to a ton of my friends deciding what they are going to do after the military. I've been showing them my progress and they are interested. I can't wait to learn even more in the next workshop.
