I really enjoyed the course and would definitively recommend it. I've learned a lot of things and I want to keep learning with SheCodes.
Being surrounded by family and friends in software, I've always thought coding was mysterious and intimidating. A couple years ago, I started working in tech as a Project Manager and recently decided I wanted to expand my skillset. The woman-centered community and beginner first approach of SheCodes made coding feel attainable and I'm so proud of what I've learned in the past three weeks.
After completing the SheCodes Basics course I was so excited to start learning front end development. SheCodes Plus was so informative and I learned a lot. I never thought I would be coding my own weather app. If you are thinking about taking any of these courses I would say do it now! It's always good to gain new skills. I had so much fun and I can't wait to start the next workshop!
I've learnt so much more than I thought I could in a few short weeks! I've gone from having very limited knowledge of coding, to feeling confident enough to produce my own code, and troubleshoot issues. The more challenging tasks have ultimately been the most rewarding, and the Slack community has been a great way of sharing the learning experience, sometimes it's nice to know you're not the only one that has a troublesome element that won't align!
Yet another amazing workshop! The lessons were easy to follow and very interactive. The project was a lot of fun and enabled me to become creative with my coding. Thank you again Matt for an amazing 5 weeks!

I have been having great times experiencing coding with the journey with SheCodes. It has been lots of difficulties at first, but then I have received lots of support from other learners and mentors, and I really appreciate that!
A very nice course for beginners.
Frankly I was a bit anxious that I will find it diffucult to understand the logic of coding and as the result I would need a lot of additional time to prepare for the lessons. But it turned quite different! Everything was explained clearly, so I could get down to coding without any doubt. During this course I gained knowledge that I have already applied at my current job, so it's definitely a win.
I completed SheCodes Basic and decided to take the opportunity to learn more about front-end coding. And I'm so glad that I did!! I never thought that I would enjoy creating my own weather application so much but it's all thanks to the great support team and instructor at SheCodes that I was able to get this far. The lessons are delivered in a clear and concise way and the content is easy to understand which makes learning fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to go further with their coding skills!

My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. It seemed so complex and overwhelming. Matt and the whole team do a terrific job of breaking it down, just like learning a new language. I'm so glad my friend brought this course to me. I would have never imagined that I could do something like this.
It was challenging, but I am glad I signed up for it... It is just the beginning of this journey for me.
After stumbling across this coding workshop by accident, I've fallen in love with Coding. I'm currently studying Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, however, this workshop was so fun that I will be transferring to Web Development completely. I highly recommend these classes. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus!
absolutely loved this workshop! my favourite out of all SheCodes workshops. React is so much fun and challenging. Feels amazing to have completed it and actually have two react applications built by myself from scratch. Almost feeling sad it's over :)))

I love how the workshops build on each other, delivering material in approachable, bite-sized pieces. My final project for SheCodes Responsive has progressed so far since I took SheCodes Basic, and I am so much more confident writing code.

I really enjoyed all of the videos. The SheCodes Basics was a great start and broke down all the concepts in a way I understood. I would recommend this class, especially since you get to learn with programs that are used in real life.
A great introduction to coding! Lessons were super clear and challenges in between lessons leading up to the homework/projects helped to solidify my understanding throughout the course.
I have really enjoyed learning to code, the lessons have been easy to understand and the constant practice allows steady progress in developing these new skills.

It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!
I already had some know-how about coding, but this was completely different. The fact we need to make, after a video some work let me begin thinking in code more easily. I learned more things than I knew. A really good beginning to pursuing a new skill or career

I used to self-study Javascript and HTML/CSS, and because of my experience, I knew I needed to find a place where someone could teach me a more concrete foundation. I chose SheCodes because it felt comfortable to me knowing other women around my age wanted to develop a new skill that wasn't in their current repertoire. The BASICS package was very easy to go through - especially because I had prior knowledge, but I did learn a few other things while going through each lesson and doing each assignment. I think it was nice to hear a few tips from Matt and how actual developers might do some basic coding.
I never worked on html or javascript before, but I really think that everyone should know the basics. I mean, everything runs on websites, you should know at least what they're made of!
I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic course and I'm looking forward to starting the next ones :)

This was fairly easy to follow. I'm fairly busy, but I felt like I could get back to it at any time.
I have learned and made great progress throughout this course! I am so proud of how far I've come since starting SheCodes Basics with absolutely no knowledge of coding. I feel comfortable with concepts of coding that I was scared of before! The lessons being split up into shorter segments really helps to grasp the concepts and from feeling overwhelmed. It is also simple to follow along with Matt's lessons at my own pace and if there is an issue I can not figure out myself, the technicians are prompt to provide help on the Slack chat. I would definitely encourage others step out of their comfort zone and give SheCodes a try!
The SheCodes Basics course was such a lovely introduction into coding. I found the lessons really engaging and informative. The structure for learning was perfect for me. The entire community of women were so supportive and inspiring. And although the workshop was challenging it was also highly rewarding. I cannot wait to complete future workshops!
The SheCodes Basics coding course has given me an incredible first look into the world of coding. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has even the slightest interest in learning to code. SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than Basic. I learned a lot and I am proud of what I have created! I am not a designer by any means but happy I was able to code a functional app. There is a lot more that goes into creating even the most basic elements than I thought. I have lots to learn.
For someone with zero coding or IT background, I enjoyed this Basic workshop more than I thought I would even with the challenges I faced. I am very keen to learn more in the advanced workshops.
SheCodes Workshops helped me regain knowledge I had lost about 10 years ago. In the first week, we were already covering things I hadn't been taught. I highly suggest taking these workshops if you want to get to know and work in the coding world!
I was looking into learning code on my own, but SheCodes saved me from hours of wasted time and money. I am excited to apply my new knowledge to my current operations job and my future tech endeavors. It definitely gets a 10 out of 10 for me!

I recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in digging deeper into Javascript! Building my own weather app from scratch enabled me to use many core concepts that I will put into practice for other projects.
I loved SheCodes Plus. I learned so much. Working on the weather app project was fun and challening at the same time and I really injoyed it. As I am all about logic, Javascript is made for me, as it seems. I can't wait to dive deeper into the world of coding. Bring it on! :)
I've tried several different ways to learn to code and from the beginning I knew I would love it, but I never really found one that clicked until SheCodes. Incredibly easy to follow along and go at your own pace, the program is obviously well thought out and geared towards beginners. Even my friend, a long time programmer, was impressed with the progress I made in just three weeks. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get their foot in the door of coding.
SheCodes Basics has been a wonderful introduction to Front-End Development for me. Since I can access the videos any time, I've been able to do it on the weekends and after work. And now I've coded my first web page! It is unbelievable how easy Matt makes coding seem and I can't recommend SheCodes more.
SheCodes is the perfect tool to learn the basics; videos are short, so you can take them whenever you have time. It's been a fun three weeks workshop looking forward to levelling up my coding skills with the next one! :)

The best way to describe these past eight weeks is challenging, infuriating, and exhilarating! Loved the challenges and the help that is available at all times. Learning new skills while already working a full-time and part-time job has made me be creative in ways of balancing that I never knew I had in me. The Responsive workshop was incredibly insightful. There was so much to learn and to put into practice. I'm grateful for this new skill and feel so excited about being able to create projects that can be viewed on various screens.
After almost 6 years on the helpdesk I decided to make a change and get into something more interesting, I had tried all kinds of tutorials and signed up for loads of bootcamps and it all ended up being either too expensive or not the right fit. Matt taught us in short bursts and still allowed room for us to look and find answers on our own! He not only taught me how to code but he taught me how to find the answers I need as well so that I can continue to teach myself! Looking forward to more workshops from SheCodes!
SheCodes has really simplified the process of learning to code by being so structured and interactive. I'm genuinely surprised and impressed by how far my skills have developed in such a short amount of time and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for me.

I'm so glad that I did this course! Though it's been challenging, I love that I've been able to go back and rewatch videos, get feedback from peers and also from the SheCodes staff. They get back to you quickly and really take the time to explain things when I got stuck. I had been using other resources to try to learn coding before trying SheCodes, including apps. I feel like I'm grasping concepts better and can actually apply what I'm learning. I really love that you have assignments and homework deadlines, I needed the extra motivation, I wasn't getting that from other things I had tried. I'm really excited to complete all of the other courses I signed up for with SheCodes!

An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
What an amazing 8 weeks of learning this has been for me! As someone with no prior knowledge of computer programming, SheCodes made it so easy to grasp concepts and implement them myself. I built a working weather app, and in only 8 weeks!!!! Somebody pinch me as it still feels like a dream. Thank you to all the fantastic humans at SheCodes.

I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! The steps in the course are designed in a way that is really manageable with 0 programming experience. Examples are easy to follow and challenges and homework progress very gradually without big shock on the way. I like that schedule is quite accurate - which makes it important to fit if you have work.
SheCodes Basics is a great introduction to coding. I had zero coding experience whatsoever prior to joining the course, but everything was explained thoroughly, with plenty of time and opportunity to practice each skill before bringing it all together for a final project. I really look forward to learning more!

In just 3 weeks, I learned so much! I was an absolute beginner when I started. I had no prior knowledge whatsoever. At first, it seemed intimidating, but now I can make a basic website already! If you're new to this, I highly recommend SheCodes. Matt takes it step by step. His teaching style makes it very easy to understand. If you want to learn to code, ENROLL! It's well worth it. Next up: Shecodes Plus!

I finally finished my another SheCodes project again and very happy about it. These days, 90% of the people in the world use various electronic devices. So, Responsive is the must learn course if you wanna be a good developer.
Matt's instruction is easy to follow. A platform on Slack for us to ask questions and get respond is really helpful. Really enjoy the whole course!

This course has been the most challenging, but also so fun! React is a powerful and complex tool, but Matt made it easy to understand and work with it.
