SheCodes was fast paced but really enjoyable. The videos explained things really well and it helped to see Matt trial and error things. I hope to take another workshop in the near future. The community on Slack with fellow students and mentors is very helpful for troubleshooting. I wish the feedback for the homework was a little more personable but with so many students I understand that it can't always be, but that's another reason why the community is helpful too. Thanks SheCodes for re-igniting my want to learn to code!
This was a good experience. The lessons are well explained and beginner friendly. I personally commend the fact that we had to build a whole project from scratch on our own.
Amazing and insightful course, easy to follow each lesson. Matt does a great job in taking you step by step and opening the layers one by one so the information is to digest for someone who has no coding experience whatsoever. Excited to expand my knowledge more!

I liked how each lesson had a challenge that you had to complete and how Matt went over the solution so you could see how a professional would approach it. If you're looking for somewhere to start learning how to code, this class is a good start!
I completed the SheCodes Basic workshop and I have nothing but good things to say about the workshop. Prior to the workshop, I had no background in coding. Now, I can say that I have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. This is a great introductory course for someone who wants to get exposed to the coding world.
Before SheCodes, I knew nothing about front end development, coding and all that comes with it. I had no idea I would be able to accomplish and learn what I did in these last 6 months. I have grown so much as a developer and feel confident enough to make a career switch. Matt is a wonderful instructor! I cannot recommend his courses enough.

I really enjoyed the pace of the course but I feel like I need a lot more practice to be comfortable using these skills. The videos were fantastic and I loved the layout of the website.
In all honesty, I’ve struggled quite a bit in the SheCodes Plus course. Which is why I truly love having the ability to go back and watch previous lessons. I never thought I’d make it this far, and although it’s definitely getting more challenging I’m excited to see how far I can go in the coding realm. :) Thanks again Matt & team!

I would highly recommend SheCodes! It was really fun and everything was taught in a simple, clear and effective way. As someone who was worried they would struggle with this, I didn't really struggle much at all.
I had fun and enjoyed this workshop very much and I am excited to continue my journey. I had some experience in coding before this workshop so for now it wasn't as hard but now I know that there is so much more to learn and learn. I think SheCodes was very easy to navigate and understand. Also, the visual design is very pleasing. And thanks to the SheCodes team for being very helpful and friendly.
I really enjoyed learning how to make my projects responsive and look good on any device from cellphones, tablets and desktops. I was very excited to built my own portfolio page and I'm looking forward to start the SheCodes React Workshop next. 😀
This was a fun, well-structured course. Matt did a great job breaking down the material into digestible chunks. I enjoyed the format of watch a video to learn a skill, do a challenge to use what you just learned, and then a video to show how the instructor would do it. I felt like I learned a lot in just 3 weeks.
SheCodes is one of the best online workshop out there empowering women in the world of coding. Their lessons, challenges and weekly assignment made it simpler, easier and fun coding. It has been an exciting six months journey and it's been worth it. Keep on empowering women in Tech! Kudos.

Great first few weeks, SheCodes Basic is fun and an exciting approach to coding. The projects wrapped everything up nicely and gave me enough time to use the tools I have to create anything I can be proud of doing.

This workshop was a great introduction to help me exploring the coding world. I am thinking of career switching and found out about SheCodes through Instagram. I love that the course is divided into separate parts and the deadlines definitely motivated me to stay on top of it. Matt did a great job explaining the components of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but also giving us a challenge to explore parts of that on our own. The SheCodes team is very responsive and helpful, which is a huge plus.
My name is Sandra, I'm a molecular biologist. At university I learned programming in C and I hated it. Since then I have never had the slightest interest in learning to code. Recently, I've been interacting with programmers and I'm fascinated by the amount of things that it is possible to create. I attended to the free SheCodes workshop and I liked the way Matt explained the concepts, so I decided to sign up for SheCodes basic... and I loved it! It was easy to learn the concepts, the challenges at the end of each class made it easier to keep up with the topics. Plus it was super easy manage even with a full-time job. I'm very excited to keep learning and maybe signing up for SheCodes Pro . It was a great learning experience :)

The course seems to be covering all the basics, perhaps a bit hard to understand at points as some points are not well explained and to non-native English speakers this could pose a challenge but once you get over that the course seems to be structured in a simple way for easy learning and I look forward to learning more

When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. I absolutely loved the content, challenges and the useful tools that SheCodes introduced to me. I now have a complete different perspective when it comes to coding. I'm also so thankful for the very supportive team that helped me with all my questions and problems.
I really enjoyed learning the basics of code. The best part is that you can do your own schedule and organize your work as you wish. It's easy to follow and very practical. I took a web development course over three years ago. Back then, the program was fast paced and I was juggling so much, that although the course was enjoyable, the curriculum and pacing may not have been optimal for my learning development. Currently, I am a manual software tester, but have always wanted to get back to learning how to code. SheCodes has given me the opportunity to learn at my own pace and retain the knowledge while having fun!

Very pedagogical and good explanations, that are easy to understand, if you don't know anything about coding. There are also check-points and reminders, so you can keep up.
SheCodes Plus is an excellent addition to SheCodes Basics. It is a very useful workshop where you get to learn a bunch new stuff about JavaScript, APIs and hosting. Matt explains everything clearly and even though you might think building a weather app is challenging, it becomes fun and easy.

This course was indeed challenging, but it's a great reward to see the app working correctly on completion! A piece of advice - simplicity is the key! Don't overload the app with the info/images or CSS, however it might seem like a cool idea from the beginning :)

The most paedagogic coding class! I really like how every complex concept is broken down into simple language, with concrete examples. By so doing, everyone can learn coding! Great introductory course! I learned a ton! I went into this course knowing absolutely nothing. I feel a lot more confident. I plan on taking more courses with SheCodes in the future. The assignments really forced me to stay on track and complete all of the lessons. I liked the pace of the course and the videos that Matt provides for each lesson. I've had so much fun working on this project! It has been a welcome creative output in between classes and exams. I'm very excited to use the tools I've learned and basic HTML, CSS and JS to create other projects in the future. As always, the instruction videos are wonderful, but for this project I've found the lovely support team on Slack to be especially helpful. The team at SheCodes were also very approachable to get extensions etc. during exam season.
It was a very fun course with all the basics to start with! I had lots of fun doing the small challenges and I really liked that they built on top of each other :)
