The SheCodes Basics workshop was really exciting yet challenging. It was split into smaller parts so that a beginner like me in coding would not be overwhelmed with learning everything at the same time. About a year ago, after completing basic web courses, I started an internship in front-end development at a company. However, I still like to take courses to review and get familiar with different ideas. SheCodes is one of the best educational websites in this field.
I am just so happy that i am learning new skills every time and yet some days are challenging but exciting.
SheCodes Plus helped me further connect the dots between JavaScript and HTML with a functional project that is relevant (because of API) and hosted online! I particularly liked learning about the workflows of connecting GitHub and a hosting platform to have my final project live online!

This was a very exciting Workshop! SheCodes Workshop - Basics was a perfect introduction to coding! I came in with zero coding experience in Javascript, CSS, and HTML, and by the end, I was able to build my project, all by myself! The lessons were engaging, the community was supportive, and I felt empowered every step of the way.
By far the most challenging of all the languages so far! Javascript has at times been really difficult, but has been a huge learning curve and a good challenge. Thoroughly enjoyed this section of learning and expanding on my own knowledge.

After teaching myself how to create a website using WordPress and Divi, I discovered that I really enjoyed it and was eager to learn more, possibly even making it my profession. I then started looking for a suitable course that I could follow from home. I quickly came across SheCodes, and it immediately appealed to me. After comparing SheCodes with other providers, SheCodes stood out to me in terms of offerings, reviews, and quality. I took the free coding class and was quickly convinced because Matt explains everything in a very pleasant and easy-to-understand way. He is very enjoyable to listen to, not monotonous at all like I found with other courses. Even if you know nothing about coding, you will understand it through his way of explaining. I am a mother of a 10-year-old gifted son who is homeschooled because regular education often does not suit gifted children. So, even as a stay-at-home mom, you can follow this course, in your own time and at your own pace. Therefore, I can recommend it to any woman and mother who is interested in coding.

The idea of the intro course is to get you to think like a developer. Matt will always give you the basics so that you can apply it but will also leave space for you to do your research and discover how to get the task done. Very nice introductory course. The videos are clear and easy to follow, all challenges are interesting and a good learning experience. It was really exciting to work on a responsive project because I have always wanted to know how to make websites more user-friendly on mobile devices. I especially liked that we were able to create something that showcased all of our projects. I liked how the lessons kept things simple (focusing on the things that are necessary to know as a developer) and also included how a professional developer would work from a design/ wireframe.
